Start NPC: Pet Skill Trainer Hu (257 644)

1) Kill Rhinodrake Plainswalker to get the required item. They are close to Broken Bridge Village

2) Go lay the nets you were given on the white flowers. They are located at the Desert of Echoes (209 587) Southwest of City of the Lost.

3) Once you lay the traps, go the campfire at the same location and click on it. A monster should come out (Sacred Beast). Lead it into the middle of the flowers, and just wait until the nets trap it. It is invulnerable, so don't waste time trying to kill it.

4) Return to Pet Skill Trainer Hu (257 644)


*Once you finish this quest you will be able to learn your new Tame skill so you can capture pets.

There is a quest that will expand your pet inventory if you find 20 Hay [You do not need to be a Venomancer to do this]. Hay can be found by killing Highlands Tortoises in the river east of Broken Bridge Village, Abysmal Turtles in the river east of City of the Lost, Megalith Rhinodrake (level 23) south west of Archosaur, Antelope Pups (level 30) around Silver Pool, the Carapests over the river west of Plume City. Hay has a relatively low drop rate, so it might take a while.

For the next pet inventory quest after the one for Hay, it will require 50 Fruit. These can drop from Pterosaurs (level 33-40), Cloudthrust Vipent Form (level 40), or the Premolar Generals near Angler's Village. [The drop rate is around 12% for fruit from the lvl 40 mobs mentioned so farming Fruit will also be a slow]

The next pet inventory quest after the 50 fruit, is 100 fungus.
